Growing Tips

Plumeria Care in Florida

Plumerias love Florida's warm climate, but a few key tips will help your plants produce the most stunning blooms. Our team is always happy to provide personalized guidance based on your specific growing conditions.

Full Sun Exposure

Plumerias need at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. South-facing locations produce the best blooms.

Well-Draining Soil

Use a fast-draining mix with perlite or coarse sand. Plumerias are susceptible to root rot in heavy, waterlogged soil.

Seasonal Watering

Water deeply but infrequently during the growing season. Reduce watering significantly in winter when the plant goes dormant.

High-Phosphorus Fertilizer

Feed with a bloom-boosting fertilizer (high middle number) every 2-3 weeks during spring and summer for maximum flowering.
